Peter Marott Quartet

Peter Marott Quartet is led by Danish trumpet player, composer, arranger, and vocalist Peter Marott, with Martin Schack on Hammond organ, Regin Fuhlendorf on guitar, and Morten Ærø on drums. Based in Copenhagen, Marott is also known as the creator and musical director of the Swinghouse Orchestra, which he founded in 2010 in collaboration with the Copenhagen dance scene at the legendary Copenhagen Jazzhouse. He has served as musical director at Zirkus Nemo and appeared on numerous recordings as a sideman. The quartet's sound is warm and spherical, blending groovy jazz with moments of deep reflection. Their debut album Marott explores themes of longing, love, joy, and self-discovery through compositions that invite listeners into an intimate, personal universe. With a residency history at Jazzhus Montmartre and appearances at Vinterjazz, the quartet has established itself as a staple of the Copenhagen jazz scene.
