Andorra

Andorra is a Danish indie-jazz quintet formed during the 2020 lockdown by five musicians who originally met as students at the Funen Music Conservatory in Odense. The group features Mads La Cour on trumpet and flugelhorn, Simon Krebs on guitar and lap steel, Peter Kohlmetz Møller on Fender Rhodes and keyboards, Morten Jørgensen on bass, and Nikolaj Bundvig on drums. Their self-titled debut (2021) and follow-ups Current (2023) and III (2025) are released on April Records. Their sound fuses intricate jazz with deep grooves, cinematic synth textures, and an exuberant indie-rock attitude they call "modern vintage." Far from the dark brooding often associated with Nordic jazz, Andorra bring banging beats, catchy melodies, and good vibes, earning acclaim in Jazz Journal, MOJO, and across the European jazz press.
