DAME AREA

Dame Area is a Barcelona-based duo consisting of Silvia Kostance and Viktor L. Crux, born in 2018 within Barcelona's underground club Màgia Roja. Their name sounds like a pun between a request for space and a nod to Demetrio Stratos's 1970s cult band Area. Mixing synths and live percussion, industrialism and tribalism, Dame Area revive the sound of experimental pioneers like Throbbing Gristle, Suicide, and Front 242 through industrial-tribal polyrhythms and minimal synth basslines. Hailed as a revelation on the European post-punk and EBM scene, they count underground legends Julian Cope and Yamataka Eye among their fans.
