Copenhell is Denmark's biggest metal festival, drawing tens of thousands of heavy music fans to Copenhagen every summer since 2010. What began as a one-day event has grown into a four-day celebration of metal, hard rock, and punk across multiple stages — from the towering Helvíti main stage to the underground Boneyard. Past headliners include Metallica, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Judas Priest, and Volbeat.
Beyond the music, Copenhell has built a fiercely loyal community around its hell-themed identity. The festival hosts COPENHELL Con (a nerd culture event now in its fifth year), themed food experiences, and a volunteer culture that keeps the chaos running smoothly. It's loud, it's sweaty, and it's home to anyone who lives for the riff.
The 2026 edition runs June 24–27 with four days of heavy music on stages named after the realms of the underworld: Helvíti, Hades, Gehenna, and Pandæmonium. Welcome to hell.
