Yung Lean

Jonatan Aron Leandoer Hastad, known professionally as Yung Lean, is a Swedish rapper, singer, and songwriter born on July 18, 1996, in Stockholm. He rose to prominence in 2013 at just 16 years old with the viral hit "Ginseng Strip 2002", becoming one of the earliest and most influential figures in the cloud rap and SoundCloud rap movements. His debut mixtape Unknown Death 2002 and subsequent album Unknown Memory established his signature blend of melancholic aesthetics, ethereal production, and emotionally raw lyricism. As a founding member of the Sad Boys collective alongside producers Yung Sherman and Yung Gud, Yung Lean helped pioneer an entire subgenre that has profoundly influenced contemporary hip-hop and internet culture. His discography spans multiple studio albums including Warlord, Stranger, and Starz, each exploring different sonic territories while maintaining his distinctive atmospheric style.
