The Devil And The Almighty Blues

The Devil and the Almighty Blues is a five-piece blues rock band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 2014. The lineup features Arnt O. Andersen on vocals, Torgeir Waldemar and Petter Svee on guitars, Kim Skaug on bass, and Kenneth Simonsen on drums. They released their self-titled debut in 2015, followed by II (2017) and TRE (2019), and have performed at festivals including Roadburn. Rooted in delta blues and classic hard rock, the band channels heavy psych, southern sludge, garage rock, and punk into a raw, muddy sound that stays anchored in the blues. Heavy without becoming too metal, slow without being doom — their music is built on visceral riffs, gritty vocals, and the kind of groove that feels both ancient and urgent.
