THE BOOJUMS

The Boojums are a DIY garage-punk band from Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, Canada. The band includes Willie Stratton on guitar and vocals, Sara Johnston on bass and vocals, and Patrick Murphy on drums and vocals. Named after a dangerous creature in Lewis Carroll's nonsense poem "The Hunting of the Snark," they formed in late 2024 and quickly built a reputation for uploading fuzzed-out live VHS tapes to Reddit, Instagram, and YouTube. Their self-titled debut album dropped on October 31, 2025 via Having Fun Records. Over 12 songs, the band fuses garage rock, indie rock, power pop, and grunge into a uniquely scrappy, raw, and catchy experience, with pounding drums, growling basslines, and guitars that burst with personality. They have been praised for their refreshingly raw and unfiltered sound.
