Plini

Plini is the stage name of Plini Roessler-Holgate, an Australian guitarist and composer born in Sydney in 1992. Entirely self-taught, he began releasing music under the name Halcyon before switching to his first name. His full-length debut Handmade Cities (2016) was described by Steve Vai as "one of the finest, forward-thinking, melodic, rhythmically and harmonically deep instrumental guitar records I have ever heard," and MusicRadar named him the best prog guitarist of 2017. His music blends progressive rock, jazz fusion, and metal into intricate, richly textured instrumental compositions marked by melodic sophistication and rhythmic complexity. With a string of acclaimed EPs and albums — including Sunhead (2018), Impulse Voices (2020), and Mirage (2024) — Plini has built a devoted global following and tours extensively as a headliner.
