Hot Mulligan is an American emo band from Lansing, Michigan, formed in 2014. The group consists of vocalist Nathan "Tades" Sanville, rhythm guitarist and vocalist Chris Freeman, lead guitarist Ryan Malicsi, bassist Jonah Kramer, and drummer Brandon Blakeley. Known for yelped, heartfelt vocals, mathy guitar interplay, and massive choruses, they built momentum the classic DIY way through basements, small clubs, and online connection. The band has released four studio albums, graduating from self-released early material to critical acclaim from Alternative Press, Kerrang!, and Rock Sound. Their ambitious fourth album "The Sound a Body Makes When It's Still" (2025) cemented their status as torchbearers of modern emo, with tens of millions of streams and multiple Billboard rock and alternative chart appearances. They have evolved from tiny rooms to sold-out theaters across North America and Europe.
