Jamie Woon is a British singer, songwriter, and producer born in 1983 in New Malden, south-west London. The son of Celtic singer Mae McKenna and a Malaysian Chinese father, he attended the BRIT School — graduating the year behind Amy Winehouse, whom he later supported live. He gained widespread attention in 2010 with "Night Air," co-produced by Burial, and his debut album Mirrorwriting (2011, PMR Records) cemented his reputation for blending soul vocals with experimental electronic production. His sound sits at the intersection of R&B, electronic music, and atmospheric songwriting, drawing on dubstep, garage, and folk-soul. Following his second album Making Time (2015), Woon has continued to release music and perform live, bringing his warm, understated voice and immersive productions to stages across Europe.
