Jaleesa

Jaleesa is a Danish singer-songwriter who began her professional music career at the age of eleven after winning the Danish version of Star Search. After years of working as a backup vocalist, she stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist, bringing a distinctive voice that blends soul music with the emotive power of 1970s Italian film scores, infused with elements of neo-soul and jazz. Her debut album Sodalite is a deeply personal work that explores themes of personal liberation and identity, touching on both political and personal matters through emotionally resonant vocals and lush, cinematic production. Working with producer Christoffer Holm Clausen, Jaleesa has crafted a sound that is at once intimate and expansive, establishing herself as a singular talent in the Danish music landscape.
