Couch

Couch is a German instrumental post-rock band based in Munich, formed in 1993. The group consists of keyboardist Stefanie Böhm, guitarist Jürgen Söder, bassist Michael Heilrath, and drummer Thomas Geltinger, creating a distinctive mix of post-rock, jazz, and electronica. The band released music on Kitty-Yo Records and beginning in 2000 licensed their catalog to Matador Records for American distribution. Their instrumental compositions blend atmospheric textures with rhythmic sophistication, drawing from a wide palette of influences that spans ambient electronics, jazz improvisation, and krautrock-influenced repetition.
