Cortisa Star (born July 11, 2005) is an American rapper and model from Sussex County, Delaware. A transgender woman who grew up feeling like "the most different person in the room," she began recording music in late 2022 after dropping out of school. Her song "Fun" went viral on Twitter and TikTok in 2024, earning cosigns from Charli XCX, Doechii, Kim Petras, and Lil Nas X, and amassing over 3 million Spotify streams. Her debut EP, "E.M.O. (Evil Motion Overload)," released in 2025, showcases a blend of hyperpop and drill influences delivered with raw, blown-out, distorted production. Cortisa Star has rapidly transitioned from viral TikTok success to walking at Paris Fashion Week, with additional tracks like "Get It Down" and "Nuts" cementing her reputation as one of rap's most exciting emerging voices.
