Barbro

Barbro is a Copenhagen-based, non-binary singer-songwriter who weaves together personal stories and global turmoil in an eclectic soundscape spanning alternative folk and art pop. Part of a striking new generation from Copenhagen's Rhythmic Music Conservatory alongside Astrid Sonne and ML Buch, Barbro is reshaping Denmark's experimental and folk-adjacent spaces. Since their debut single "I'm Fine" in 2021, Barbro has earned the Danish Songwriter award Carl Prize and the music critic prize as Hope of the Year in 2022. Their critically acclaimed debut album Bad Choices arrived in 2023, and the follow-up Crossfade is set for February 2026, featuring ten compositions rich with emotional depth created as a collage of old demos, diary notes, and paintings.
