Nicklas Sahl is a Danish singer-songwriter born February 19, 1997 in Hadsten, a small city in Jutland, who started playing guitar at the age of four. His debut single "Hero" was released in April 2018, and by 2019 he had become the second-most played artist on Danish radio. His debut EP "Planets" (2019) and first full-length album "Unsolvable" (2020) established him as one of Denmark's leading pop voices. NPR named him in the Austin 100 ahead of SXSW, and he has accumulated over 75 million streams. Sahl won the Carl Nielsen Award for Best Pop Composition and was named Best Danish Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2019, where he also appeared on stage at the ceremony in Seville. His musical inspirations include Paul Simon and Alec Benjamin. He continues to sell out venues and headline festivals across Denmark, remaining a prominent fixture on Danish radio and streaming charts.
