Adrian Quesada

Adrian Quesada, born May 3, 1977, is an American musician, producer, songwriter, and guitarist from Laredo, Texas, best known as co-founder and lead guitarist of Grammy-winning duo Black Pumas. Growing up on the US-Mexico border, he absorbed punk, hip-hop, and Tex-Mex music before moving to Austin to attend the University of Texas, where he became deeply embedded in the city's vibrant music scene, playing with bands including Brownout, Grupo Fantasma, and Ocote Soul Sounds over 15 years. In late 2017, Quesada connected with vocalist Eric Burton and formed Black Pumas, whose self-titled debut album in 2019 brought them worldwide acclaim, Grammy wins, and performances at President Biden's Inauguration. Quesada has also pursued a prolific solo career, releasing "Boleros Psicodelicos" and "Jaguar Sound" in 2022, and has collaborated with artists ranging from Prince to Wu-Tang Clan's GZA. He runs Electric Deluxe Recorders studio in Austin, Texas.
