Yttling Jazz is a project led by Björn Yttling, best known as a member of Swedish indie trio Peter Bjorn and John, in which he gathers some of Scandinavia's finest jazz musicians for richly textured jam sessions. The ensemble bridges the worlds of indie pop sensibility and jazz improvisation, creating a sound that is both accessible and musically adventurous. The project's debut album "Oh Lord Why Can't I Keep My Big Mouth Shut" (2005) established the concept, while their second album "Illegal Hit" (2025) brought renewed attention to the ensemble after a long hiatus. Yttling Jazz performs at prestigious venues across Scandinavia, bringing jazz to audiences who might not typically seek it out.
