Solence is an electronic rock and metal band from Norrkoping, Sweden, consisting of Markus Videsater on vocals, David Straaf on guitar, David Vikingsson on drums, and Johan Sward on keyboards. Formed in 2012, the band combines electronic music with trailblazing Swedish metal, adding pop and hip-hop flavors in uplifting songs with a bold outlook on life. They started by releasing heavy renditions of pop hits before breaking out with their 2019 debut album "Brothers." Their follow-up "Direction" saw them achieve their first Active Rock radio charting with "Animal In Me," which became SiriusXM Octane's most-played track in 2020. Subsequent albums include "Deafening" (2021), "Hope Is A Cult" (2023), and "Angels Calling" (2025). Signed to Better Noise Music, Solence has garnered over 370 million cumulative streams and was named one of Pandora's Rising Rock Artists To Watch in 2023.
