Sina Bathaie is an Iranian-Canadian musician and film scorer, born December 8, 1986, noted for his style of blending Persian traditional music with electronic music, especially by mixing Santur and Electronica. Born in Iran, he learned to play the Santur at age seven from his father, Master Javad Bathaie, and continued by practicing Persian classical repertoire with the Oud and exploring rhythm through Tonbak. He studied composing and orchestrating for film and TV at Berklee College of Music. His track "Seven Ponds" was ranked number 73 on Canada's Top 100 songs of 2024 by the CBC. He has composed scores for films such as "The Horse Latitudes" and "Mr Settled Immigrant." With more than 55 million streams on digital platforms, Bathaie has established himself as a leading voice in world fusion and Persian contemporary music.
