ROYA

ROYA is a Danish electronic pop duo from Aarhus, Denmark, consisting of vocalist Line Gade and producer Sebastian Igens. The pair had been collaborating for several years writing music for other artists before officially forming ROYA and releasing their own material starting in 2022. Their sound is built on Line's emotionally raw vocals layered over Sebastian's expansive, synth-driven productions, exploring themes of grief, jealousy, naivety, and personal failure. The duo gained major traction with their 2024 single "Cruise," which propelled them into the international spotlight. They have since toured extensively across Europe, with appearances at major Danish festivals including NorthSide and Tinderbox. ROYA is widely regarded as one of the most promising new Scandinavian pop acts, with a growing fanbase and an active touring schedule spanning 11 countries.
