Mother Soki

Mother Soki is the artist moniker of Annie Tammearu, a Minneapolis-based musician who grew up in the city's western suburbs. After studying fashion design in Chicago, she pivoted to music and began crafting songs in her apartment, gravitating toward the dreamy textures of dreampop and the sonic nostalgia of the 1990s, blending vintage synths with heavy guitars and airy, spacious vocals. She draws inspiration from The Sundays, Imogen Heap, and Cocteau Twins. Her breakout came in spring 2025 when "Rivet Gun" went viral on TikTok, gaining over 800 shares in the first 50 hours and more than 12,000 creates in under eight weeks. Grammy-winning pop star Ellie Goulding took notice, further amplifying the track's reach. "Rivet Gun" has since amassed over 6 million Spotify streams. Mother Soki signed with independent label Mom+Pop Music and is managed by Avalanche Artists, with over 523,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
