Mert Demir

Mert Demir is a Turkish singer, songwriter, producer, and arranger born on December 26, 1993, in Istanbul. A multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass, piano, keyboard, and DJ mixer, he blends pop, bedroom pop, R&B, and arabesque into a distinctive sound that has made him one of Turkey's most innovative contemporary artists. Demir first appeared on the talent show O Ses Türkiye in 2011, but it was his 2017 debut single Uyan that launched his career. The highly acclaimed album KİMİM LAN BEN?, released in 2021, propelled him into major media spaces and festival stages. Beyond his musical contributions, Demir is known for his advocacy for mental health, with his song Antidepressant praised for its candid depiction of mental health struggles.
