Martin Kerr is a British indie singer-songwriter based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, who made a living busking at farmers' markets and playing house concerts before breaking through to sell out the 1700-seat Winspear Centre and open for Sarah McLachlan on Canada Day at Rogers Place. His 2017 debut Better Than Brand-New cracked the Top 10 of the Canadian Album Sales Chart. His 2020 album Everything Is Under Control was highlighted by the breakout single You're Amazing, which vaulted to number four on the Spotify Viral Chart and tallied over 1.5 million streams. During the pandemic, Kerr may have been the only artist to perform 400 live shows through his Stay Home Street Concerts initiative. Now signed to Nettwerk Records, his sound has been described as somewhere between James Taylor and Radiohead.
