Magtens Korridorer is a Danish alternative rock band formed in 1995 in Copenhagen, consisting of vocalist Johan Olsen, guitarists Rasmus Kern and Niklas Schneidermann, bassist Terkel Møhl, and drummer Anders Ramhede. The band channels the angst-ridden, soaring melodic grunge of acts like Pearl Jam alongside more reflective indie rock, with a distinctive blend of rock and poetic post-punk. The band achieved commercial and critical success with their album Friværdi, and famously opened the Orange Stage at the 2006 Roskilde Festival. Known for songs like Nordhavn Station, Picnic (på Kastellet), and Milan Allé, Magtens Korridorer have carved out a unique space in Danish rock. Notably, frontman Olsen is also a Ph.D. in molecular biology who teaches at the University of Copenhagen.
