Elio Mei

Elio Mei (born November 23, 2002) is an American indie-folk and indie-pop singer-songwriter from San Tan Valley, Arizona. Known for vivid storytelling, poetic wordplay, and genre-defying productions, Mei (he/they) began writing songs in fifth grade and was playing coffee-shop gigs by seventh grade. Their album A Thousand Songs About It All: Act 1 was released in September 2025, and Mei performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's Late Show Me Music segment. With a beautifully unique voice and an innovative twist on the bedroom pop genre, Elio Mei has rapidly built a devoted following through their music's blend of fantasy-themed storytelling and deeply personal songwriting.
