Creekbed Carter Hogan is a trans folk musician based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, slinging queergrass out of dive bars, sewer creeks, and fancy national stages alike. Armed with wistful guitar, crisp twang, powerful vocals, and masterful fingerpicking, their songs embrace the rich traditions of country music while paying homage to folk icons like Karen Dalton, John Prine, and Elliott Smith. Their Tiny Desk Contest submission was featured as an NPR Desk of the Day in 2021, and their 2024 self-titled album on Gar Hole Records showcases Hogan at their most confident. Also a published author, Creekbed Carter released a debut book of short stories under the name Carter St Hogan with 11:11 Press in 2023.
