Buki-Yamaz

Buki-Yamaz was a pioneering Danish jazz fusion and progressive rock band formed in 1973 in Denmark. The group consisted of Aske Bentzon on flute, Kim Sagild and Mikkel Nordsø on guitars, Klavs Nordsø on percussion, Henrik Bødtcher on bass, and Ethan Weisgard on drums. Active until their disbandment in 1981, Buki-Yamaz released their self-titled debut album in September 1975 on Hookfarm, followed by a live-in-studio album on Amar Records in May 1978. Their adventurous blend of jazz improvisation and progressive rock structures made them a notable part of the Scandinavian jazz fusion scene of the 1970s.
